Hookah Smoking Tips

Hookah smoking is a growing trend, especially among college students. If you've decided to try hookah, or even if you're an experienced hookah smoker, here are some tips to make smoking hookah much more enjoyable.

1. Add Ice
Adding ice to your hookah water makes the smoke cooler and smoother. The point of the water in the hookah is to cool down the smoke, and adding ice will also make hookah smoking more enjoyable for a longer amount of time. If you don't have ice, use cold water instead.

2. Mix the Flavors
Mixing the various tobacco flavors can be a fun experiment to try next time you smoke hookah. Finding a unique flavor combination and sharing it is a big point of pride among hookah smokers. Try these flavor combinations:
  • Strawberry and Banana
  • Mango and Peach
  • Cherry and Cola
  • Chocolate and Peanut butter
  • Watermelon and Kiwi

3. Add Fruit
Adding fruit to the water base makes a huge impact on the way your hookah tastes. Try adding fruits that compliment your hookah tobacco flavor. Juicier fruits such as lemons, limes, and berries will add more flavoring than less juicy fruits like apples. Cut the fruits into little pieces and just add them to your icy water.

4. Add Alcohol, Juice, or Milk
Adding one or two shots of wine, juice, or alcohol to your hookah water is a great way to enhance the flavor of your hookah. Adding liquor such as vodka adds a licorice flavor and goes great with most flavors. Red wine goes well with rich flavors such as apple or red grape. Any flavor juice will compliment similar flavors. Milk makes flavors taste creamier and also gives you much thicker smoke.

5. Wash your Hookah after every use
Washing your hookah after every use not only gives you cleaner hits of tobacco, but also ensures that your hookah lasts much longer. Cleaning your hookah also removes all the nasty smoke residue that builds up in your hookah.

Hookah smoking can be a very enjoyable and relaxing experience with the right shisha flavors, but these tips will make your hookah session much tastier.
